Belarus projects

The objective of the Belarus programme is to strengthen civil society in Belarus as agents of change. Civil society organisations from both Belarus and Sweden can apply for grants.

The programme aims  to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations in Belarus regarding democracy, human rights and equality.

If you are a Belaruisan organisation/initiative you should be non-political, non-profit, non-religious and work towards democratic development based on the equal value of all people and respect for human rights. Both individual organisations and coalitions of two or more Belarusian organisations/initiatives are eligible to apply for small or larger grants.

Projects of individual activists, governmental organisations, as well as businesses cannot apply for this grant.

Grant levels

  • Small projects with a maximum budget of 10,000 euro. Time of implementation is up to 1 year.
  • Larger projects with a maximum budget of 100,000 euro. Time of implementation is between 1 and 3 years.
